Size guide
Our sizes come from several suppliers, so a medium in one piece is not always a medium in the next. That is why most product pages list measurements for each size, taken from the garment itself. The most reliable way to choose is to compare those numbers with your own.
How our sizes work
- Women's and men's clothing is sized in letters, most often S to XL or S to 2XL, and many pieces run to 3XL or beyond. The range is listed in the fit line on each product page.
- Some men's trousers are sold by waist size in inches, for example 29 to 36.
- Kids' pieces are sized by height, for example 80 to 130 cm (31 to 51 in).
- Shoes are sold in EU sizes; each shoe page lists the usual US size and the foot length for every EU size. Other accessories list their own sizes on the product page.
Reading the measurements
The measurements on a product page describe the garment, not the body, and are given in inches. Tops usually list length, shoulder, bust or chest and sleeve; trousers list waist, hip and length. If a number looks about half what you expect, it was measured flat across the garment, so double it before comparing.
A garment needs some room beyond your own measurement so you can move. As a rule of thumb at the bust or chest: 2 to 4 inches or more for pieces with no stretch, 1 to 3 inches for a little stretch, and little or none for good stretch or very stretchy pieces if you like them close.
Measure yourself in five minutes
- Bust or chest: around the fullest part, under the arms, keeping the tape level.
- Waist: around your natural waist, the narrowest part of your torso.
- Hips: around the fullest part of your hips and seat, feet together.
- Shoulder: across your back from one shoulder edge to the other.
- Inseam: measure a pair of trousers that fits you, from the crotch seam to the hem.
